The brief
Mainelli Consulting gives businesses and financial services licensees access to senior legal and compliance expertise without hiring someone full time. It is a deliberate alternative to the traditional law firm, and the site has an awkward job: sound every bit as credible as a firm while making it obvious this is not one.
The buyer is usually someone who has been burned. Unpredictable fees, advice that was technically correct and commercially useless, or compliance work quietly absorbed by people whose job is something else.
What it had to do
Name the problem before offering the service. The site sets out what is actually going wrong for these businesses, cost blow-outs, no legal oversight, advice that cannot be applied, and only then explains the alternative. In a category built on trust, being specific about the pain is what earns the next scroll.
It also had to feel senior. Restrained typography, plenty of space, no stock photography of handshakes. The tone is the credential.
Proof sits high on the page
A named client reference appears early rather than being buried on a testimonials page. For a practice competing against firms with a hundred years of letterhead, one specific person vouching for specific work does more than any amount of copy about values.
